When adjustable feet make sense
Adjustable feet are height-adjustable pedestals that sit under the building's frame and screw up or down to bring it level. There's no groundwork — they work with the surface you've already got.
They're ideal when you're placing a lighter building on an existing hard surface — a patio, paving, or an old concrete slab — that's basically sound but not perfectly level. Rather than lay a new base, the feet take up minor unevenness and lift the timber clear of the surface, helping air circulate underneath and keeping the frame out of standing water. It's the quickest and least disruptive option when the groundwork's effectively already done.

You don't already have a sound, firm surface
